The provision of top-class capacity development services for water and sanitation services sector is a paramount of the Regional Capacity Development Network for Water and Sanitation Services (RCDN).

From 24 until 26 April 2024, NALAS and GIZ joined forces and organised a new Training Management Cycle training that brought together in Skopje the training managers in the RCDN partner APUCs’ and LGAs’ training units and other APUCs and LGAs’ staff involved in delivery of the associations’ trainings.

How do we impact capacity development at individual, organisational and society level, what is the essence of capacity development, how adults learn, what are the elements of the Training Management Cycle, what are the RCDN Quality Standards and what difference do they make, and much more was the focus of the training.

Participants dived into the crucial aspects of selection and management of trainers, development of training curriculum, agenda and design, flexible implementation, organisational issues and monitoring and evaluation, to ensure that the training meets the highest RCDN Quality Standards.

The training was delivered by Miodrag Kolic and Jelena Janevska from NALAS and Lea Pavlovik Sejfula from GIZ. “This has been an inspiring training which confirmed that the evolution of the RCDN Quality Standards, driven by practice, resulted with a complete roadmap and dos and don’ts in training preparation, organisation, delivery and evaluation. We are happy that the human capacities of LGAs’ and APUCs’ training centres grow every day”, said the trainers.
