  • Asset Management Workshops 12.04.2016

    NALAS will organise two workshops: Asset Management E-learning course training for course moderators on 4 May and Closing Workshop for Asset Management - Business Planning Model (AM-BPM) on 5 May 2016. The aim of the workshops is presentation of the products developed within the Asset Management project: Asset Management E-learning course “Introduction to Asset Management in the Water sector” and the Asset Management Business Planning Model, and presentation of the results achieved from testing the AM-BPM in Pilot Municipalities and PUC. These workshops are organised within the project “Asset management for water and sanitation sector in South-East Europe”, funded by the German Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) and the Government of Switzerland and implemented by GIZ (ORF MMS) and the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS).

  • Conference “Acting together in migration management – enhancing coordination among central and local level” 16.02.2016

    The conference “Acting together in migration management – enhancing coordination among central and local level” is organised by NALAS and MARRI as a follow up to the Conference "Challenges and impact of refugee crisis for Local Governments in South-East Europe" organized in Zagreb in October 2015 by NALAS, where local governments have been identified as first affected by the refugee influx, thus they have to be considered as a key stakeholder and supported by the national government and international community in dealing with the refugee influx issue. Local governments appealed for better coordination at regional level and that the national governments, the European Union, the donors and other relevant actors take urgent measures to address the following immediate and long term priorities.
