From 13 until 17 May 2024, NALAS has successfully concluded an intensive training program on EU Fundraising and Project Development under the Regional Capacity Development Network for Water and Sanitation Services (RCDN) umbrella. The event gathered representatives from RCDN partner LGAs and APUCs, aiming to enhance their capacities in securing EU funds and developing high-quality project proposals.
The training covered a wide range of topics including EU funding opportunities, common mistakes in project preparation, project cycle management, development of logical framework matrix, and drafting project proposals. Participants engaged in numerous group exercises aimed at applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, enhancing their skills in problem analysis, defining objectives, and project proposal drafting.
Participants expressed high levels of satisfaction with the training’s content and delivery. The interactive format and hands-on approach were particularly appreciated, as they allowed for the practical application of learned concepts. “This training has been incredibly insightful and practical. It has significantly enhanced our understanding of EU funding mechanisms and project development processes.” – said Ms. Elisa Nikaj from the Association for Local Autonomy of Albania.
The training was delivered by Ms. Vanja Starovlah, Mr. Darko Mrvaljević and Mr. Miodrag Kolić from NALAS.
Building on the success of this training, NALAS will offer continued tailored support to RCDN partner associations in the preparation and submission of EU project proposals. Follow-up mentoring is being planned to further assist with ongoing project development efforts.
