Urgent: Appeal for Support for Municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina Affected by Severe Floods

Dear colleagues and friends,

This is an appeal for solidarity support within the NALAS Network.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has declared a state of natural disaster following heavy rains that caused floods and landslides on October 4^th. At least 19 lives have been lost, and transport links have been severely disrupted. Rescue operations are currently underway in the worst-hit areas, including the municipalities of Jablanica, Kiseljak, Fojnica, Kreševo, and the city of Konjic.

The situation in these local governments is dire: villages are cut off, roads and houses are being destroyed, and citizens are facing shortages of basic necessities.

We can leverage the strength of our Network to mobilize urgent support for the affected municipalities and their citizens. Financial contributions are critical for both immediate relief efforts and long-term recovery. The municipalities most impacted by the floods have opened special bank accounts for this purpose, which you can find below.
