Jana Belcheva Andreevska joined the NALAS Secretariat team in May 2022 to lead the growing efforts in digital transition and “smart city concept”. She has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication and over 20 years experience in the field of ICT, Earth observation and Geoinformation Technology. Her rich experience in the local government area comes from her previous position as former Chair of City Council of Centar Municipality in Skopje and member of the Municipal Council. In the last 10 years she has also worked on numerous international project with the World Bank, USAID, UN Agencies, etc. She is the author of several publications and studies in the area of Big Data use for transportation and corridor performance monitoring, Localizing Sustainable Development Goals for Municipality of Center, Municipal Development Index for Macedonian municipalities etc.
